On Saturday, September 24th, I filed assault charges against Delegate Wren Williams.

“After he verbally assaulted a Carroll County Board of Supervisors member, I became the target of his rage.”

While attending the 9th District GOP dinner in Wytheville, Delegate Williams approached me in the lobby of the meeting room and struck me with his body.

There were 8 witnesses to this event who have provided eyewitness statements.

I’m disappointed at the behavior of Delegate Williams. As elected officials and colleagues in the Virginia General Assembly, we should be conducting ourselves as examples of civility. Abusive behavior should never be tolerated. I will always stand up to a bully. Delegate Williams continues to demonstrate that he is unfit to hold public office.
